The *present state of things* counts A LOT, and this win against Argentina is a great boost for England. Don’t run away your responsabilities, you’re growing in the most important part of the “pre-season”. Our team (Brazil) is very good, but it is not an excelent team, we have great players and an outstanding frontline – Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Adriano, Kaká, Robinho, Fred. But England also has some very good players like Beckham, Rooney and Owen. You cannot predict they’ll play less than good, because it’s just impossible. This is the World Cup of Rooney, it’s too obvious, I’ve saw him playing strongly against Argentina and it is not easy to play like that against them, believe me. If he scores that last try, oh boy, you’d now be on top of the bet list. Beckham is a very consistent player, solid, with an excelent pass. And Owen will be there when you need him. There you go.
From the bigger teams, Brazil, France, England, Italy and Portugal, in this order, are the best (sorry Germany). And maybe some African (Ghana, Tunisia) or Asian team (Japan) will be the surprise. We’ll see.
